
The Spanish baritone Miguel Torres studied musicology at the Conservatory of Madrid, where he won first prize singing with the greatest distinction and also the price Premio Extraordinario Lucrecia Arana. He took part in various international seminars and courses in Santiago de Compostela, Granada, Castres and Antwerp (Baroque music led by Jos van Immerseel). He already gave concerts in Spain, Puerto Rico, Belgium, The Netherlands, France and Germany and lectured at the Festival Musical de Paris, the Festival of Flanders and the Europäische Wochen in Passau.
He is currently a member of the Choir of Flanders Opera, where he sang several solo roles: Henzes Der Prinz von Homburg, La fanciulla del West, La Bohème, Un Ballo in Maschera, Turandot, Rigoletto, Salome and The Merry Widow.
