Flanders Opera 2009 concert performance of Le Villi is out on CD now. Flanders Opera concluded its celebrated Puccini cycle in 2009 with this one-acter.

Female protagonist Anna is one of Puccini's tragic heroines. Italian Norma Fantini played her part during the concert with great feeling. However, the star of the evening was the big Italian tenor Giuseppe Giacomini. In the part of Roberto this éminence grise sings one of the nicest and most gripping arias of the Puccini repertoire: ‘Torna ai felici di’. The Symphonic Orchestra and the Flanders Opera Choir were conducted by the spirited Muhai Tongs.
