Opera ticket entitles you to free public transport in Ghent

As a customer of the Flanders Opera, this season you can once again use public transport free in the Ghent inner city zone, even though this is no longer mentioned on the ticket. On the day of the performance you can use the bus and tram free if you show your opera ticket, thanks to De Lijn East Flanders.

This applies to your return journey too, and counts as a ticket for one person. It is not equivalent to a season ticket and so does not apply to children between 6 and 12 travelling with you.

Note: due to the works at Ghent St Peter’s Station the transport system is temporarily modified. Those who come by train can take tram 1 from the station to Zonnestraat and take the same route back. Lines 21 and 22 now follow a modified route.
