Intro
Wim Henderickx ventures into the Iliad’s theatre of war. Achilleus is sulking and refuses to take part in the battles. Not even Odysseus or Aias can talk him into it. But when his bosom friend Patroklos, wearing Achilleus’ armour, is killed by Hektor, Achilleus rushes back into the fray seeking revenge. He kills Hektor... Imme Dros retells the epic, up to the moment when the Greeks make as if to sail away from the Trojan coast and leave a wooden horse behind. Peace is only an overture to the rest of the war. A few years after Michael Tippert’s "King Priam", on the same theme, was staged at the Flemish Opera, Imme Dros and Wim Henderickx now teach a young audience that there are never any winners in war, only losers
