Flanders Opera's Children's choir has been invited closer to home, by the deFilharmonie. In the autumn, the orchestra, under the direction of conductor Martyn Brabbins will perform Benjamin Britten's War Requiem.
Exactly around about the date of Armistice Day this composition remembers the senseless horror of war in particular and the depths of the human soul in general with excellent soloists such as bass Florian Boesch, soprano Amanda Roocroft and tenor Alan Oke. Together with deFilharmonie and Flanders Opera's Children's choir this will be a memorable and moving concert experience.
