After the succes of Mozart's The Magic Flute last year, Flanders Opera again schedules an opera for children. Nino Rota's colourful Aladdin and the wonderlamp (sung in Dutch) immerses the public in the adventurous world of 1001 nights.
For this fairytale with its many whimsical leaps from the real to the virtual, Fellini’s favourite composer wrote a colourful score with real opera parts.
Waut Koeken, who directed a successful production of Mozart’s Magic Flute for a young audience, guarantees a refreshing interpretation of the magical story.
