Deliverance of suffering and death

The theme of this season's Easter concert is deliverance: accepting the inevitable and death, but also deliverance through suffering and purification. This exalted thought is the thread throughout all the songs: the Wesendonck Lieder and fragments of Lohengrin, Tristan und Isolde and Parsifal. Wagner fans will love this ultimate performance of the German repertoire.

Tickets from € 10.00 to € 55.00

Team

Chief conductor Dmitri Jurowski will conduct these powerful Wagner scores. After his experience with complex Verdi and Tchaikovsky scores he is the ideal person to lead the orchestra through these music dramas. The two soloists are experienced Wagner performers: tenor Ian Storey played Tristan in the Scala of Milan, which moved everyone and bass Hans Tschammer has shown his worth as King Marke in Flanders Opera.

Gimv supports chief conductor Dmitri Jurowski.
