Vocal training in Ankara and at the Juilliard School of Music in New York, as well as in the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia. Master classes with Elly Ameling and Marilyn Horne.

Prinz Orlofsky/Die Fledermaus and Miles/The Turn of the Screw during her study in New York; member of young artists programs at the Opera theatre of St. Louis, at Opera North in New Hampshire and at the Santa Fe Opera in New Mexico; Dorabella/Così fan tutte, Der Komponist/Ariadne auf Naxos and Bradamante/Alcina at the Curtis Opera Theater; Annio/La clemenza di Tito, Ragonde/Le Comte Ory and Zweite Dame/Die Zauberflöte at the Oper Stuttgart; engaged for the 2008–2009 and 2009– 2010 seasons by the Staatstheater Nürnberg.

Prizewinner in the Licia Albanese Competition and at the Metropolitan Opera National Auditions. Winner of the Marian Anderson Award.
