To the opera as a group

As a group

To a performance

Looking for an original activity for your class or organisation? The opera offers various possibilities. You can go to a performance as a group. Make sure you book your tickets in time so that you are not too spread out. Contact the box office to see how the group can be seated. Unfortunately we can't always guarantee the whole group will be able to sit together; please also take into account there are no special group rates.

Tours

We do monthly tours in the opera buildings of Antwerp and Ghent, but for groups we organise guided tours on request. During a walk along impressive paintings, breathtaking heights and surprising nooks and crannies, historic facts and funny anecdotes alternate. In no time you are introduced to 400 years of opera history, the social codes and goings-on behind the scenes of an opera house. A guided tour is a perfect first introduction to the opera.

Practical

Please take into account that your request for a guided group tour needs to fit in the planning of our opera house, and this varies greatly. Contact the box office by telephone at 070 22 02 02. A request does not guarantee that the guided tour is definite, but you will receive a confirmation. Book your guided group tour well in advance to be certain of a good date.

€ 15 / max. 25 persons per guide
Duration: 1,5 h

On request, tours can also be provided in other languages than Dutch.

Social groups

We organise activities for vulnerable groups who often don't have the financial and social means to go to a performance. These groups can participate in tours and opera introductions at a social tariff.

Schools

Tailor-made special formulas have been devised for schools to introduce children of all age categories to the opera. The pages for schools (on the Dutch website) contain all the information with regard to school performances, opera introductions, guided tours and more educational projects.
