Biography

Education
Studied with Barbara Szczepanska, Karl-Heinz Kämmerling (Hannover) and graduated with Klaus Hellwig at the Universität der Künste in Berlin. Continued studies at the International Piano Academy Lake Como (Italy) and private lessons with Alfred Brendel. Masterclasses with Vitalij Margulis, Karl Ulrich Schnabel, Alicia de Larrocha, Leon Fleisher, Menahem Pressler.

Career
Concerts with leading orchestras at the worlds most important stages e.g. at Berlin, München, London, New York, Miami, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Tokyo and Seoul. Guest at music festivals like Klavier Festival Ruhr, Aldeburgh Festival, Gilmore Festival in Michigan/USA, La Roque d'Anthéron and at the Schleswig-Holstein Musikfestival.

Highlights
Beethoven’s Pianoconcert nr. 5 with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra Amsterdam conducted by Paavo Järvi (2007); Openingconcert of the Miami International Piano Festival (2009); Prokofiev Pianoconcert nr. 5 with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra conducted by Jaap van Zweden (2012).

Prizes
Second price at the Concours van de ARD (1999); third price at the Leeds International Piano Competition (2000); second price at the Competition José Iturbi (2002); Europäischer Kulturförderpreis Berlin (2002); Echo Klassik Preis (2003); first price Queen Elisabeth Competition (2003).
