Biography

Graduated in piano from the Conservatory "A.Pedrollo" in Vicenza she studied musicology at the university of Cremona and singing at the Civica Scuola di Musica in Milan. In the meantime she began to study privately with Michele Fiotta and Maria Rosa Calabrò as well as with Magda Olivero.

In 2001 she won the international singing contest "Toti dal Monte" in Treviso and in 2002 the 56th contest of the European Community for young opera singers in Spoleto. In 2003 the jury of the "Ferruccio Tagliavini" contest in Deutschlandsberg granted to her the prize "best soprano voice".

During the season 2001/2 she performed the roles of Alice in Falstaff and Vitellia in La Clemenza di Tito in Cremona, Brescia and Pavia, Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni in Chieti and Licida in L’Olimpiade in Ravenna and Reggio Emilia. In 2003 she sang Donna Anna in Don Giovanni and Violetta in La Traviata in Spoleto and Elettra in idomeneo in Como, Cremona, Brescia and Pavia.

In 2004 she sang her first Contessa in Le Nozze di Figaro at Carlo Felice Theatre in Genoa under the baton of Julia Jones and at Leipzig Opera; she was Elettra in Idomeneo at Grand Théâtre de Genève and at Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and sang Ludmilla in Die Verschworenen by F. Schubert with the Tuscany Orchestra in Florence and at "Accademia Chigiana" in Siena. She also performed as soloist soprano in Folk Songs by L. Berio in Stresa Music Festival and Contessa Le Nozze di Figaro at Carlo Felice Theatre in Genoa.

In February 2006 she debuted at La Scala Milan as Contessa in Nozze di Figaro.
